The Orchard Boys Bluegrass Band is a five piece ensemble based in Frederick, Maryland.  The group has been a staple of the Maryland music scene since the early 1980's when three brothers, John, Jim and Jeff Rosenwald put their exquisite vocal harmonies together with their mandolin, guitar and bass playing abilities to form a top notch bluegrass band.  With the addition of Fred Smoral on resophonic guitar and Paul Houck on banjo the Orchard Boys continually forge ahead combining the traditional with the progressive to create their own unique sound.

Our philosophy on playing music is simple: just have fun! When we engage to play a gig, we consider many factors when determining the price, such as: how far will we have to travel, how many sets ( usually 10/12 songs per set) will be needed, is the function for a worthwhile cause, will we be furnishing sound for the appearance for ourselves (and possibly other acts), etc. We consider all of these items when quoting prices for appearances.  Please contact our booking agent Heather by E-mail or phone at 301-473-7584.   Our calendar fills up quickly, so please contact us as soon as possible in order to get your date reserved.  We typically supply our own sound system, so please mention if you will be supplying your own sound reinforcement.
